Summary :

The National Institutes of Health is a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The electronic Research Administration (eRA) provides mission critical IT infrastructure in support of grants awarded by NIH. NIH is the largest biomedical research agency in the world.

eRA will begin a phased approach beginning Sept 15, 2021 to enforce two-factor authentication for the NIH recipient community.
eRA is expanding support for users to securely log in to eRA modules with InCommon Federated accounts.
